Position Summary:

The Lead Installation Technician ensures that the customer owned, or ISI-leased equipment is installed correctly and operating at peak performance and efficiency.

The position will require excellent customer service skills as well as installation experience. You must be comfortable explaining to the customers any issues that you find as well as being able to offer additional services or repairs.

Primary Functions:

  • Installation of refrigeration equipment and food service systems.
  • Inspection of the location to ensure we have the proper tools, permits and manpower to complete the installation in a timely manner.
  • Request materials and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring that items are available to complete the necessary installation.
  • Coordination with management and administration for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently
  • Informing the customers regarding procedures and/or status of work for the purpose of Providing quality information for decision making, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage all on-site installation and test tasks.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems.
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
  • Build positive relationships with customers.
  • Provide timely and detailed status reports to supervisor.
  • Maintain professional demeanor with clients/customers including contractors, maintenance staff, property manages, and employees.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

  • Prior installation experience with refrigeration equipment, systems and kitchen/restaurant equipment
  • Must be able to do basic electrical, plumbing
  • Must be able to read and understand blue prints
  • Must have the ability to think and analyze on the run
  • Must have advanced soldering skills
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of an accredited Technical/Trade School
  • 5 or more years of experience in commercial installation, and/or service and repair of Refrigeration equipment
  • EPA Certification – Universal
